About this editor
This is a free PDF editor that runs entirely in your browser. There's no upload step because there's no server to upload to: the editing engine is PDFium (the same library Chrome uses to render PDFs), compiled to WebAssembly and running in your tab. Open a file and you can edit the actual text on the page rather than only pasting boxes over it: click a line, retype it, and the replacement is written into the PDF with the document's own fonts.
Beyond text, the editor covers the everyday jobs in one place. Add text boxes, highlights, freehand drawing, and shapes. Sign by drawing or typing a signature and placing it anywhere. Fill out PDF forms and save a copy with the answers baked in, or flatten the form entirely. Reorder, rotate, duplicate, delete, and extract pages from the sidebar. Stamp a watermark across every page. Search inside the document, and undo anything: edits are only permanent when you save.
Saving is where most "free" editors spring their trap; this one doesn't. Exports carry no watermark, no daily quota, and no account. When you save, you can also shrink the file or add password protection (AES-256 encryption) in the same step, so an edit-compress-protect job that normally takes three websites finishes in one download.
The privacy claim is one you can check for yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network panel, and edit away: your document never appears in a request, because the page's security policy prevents it from talking to anything but itself. Your file never reaches a server, so there is no server-side copy to delete. The editor does keep your recent files and unsaved work in this browser's on-device database, IndexedDB (so a closed tab or a crash doesn't lose your place), but that copy never leaves your device, and you can clear it anytime from the start screen.
Scanned PDFs work too. If a document looks scanned, the editor offers to run OCR on it, locally like everything else, so the pages gain a searchable, selectable text layer before you start working.
