About this tool
Splitting is for a file that's doing more than one job. The scanned stack that's really five separate documents. The 200-page report where someone only needs chapter three. The batch that should become single pages for filing. One PDF goes in and several come out, cut by the page ranges you set, or every N pages automatically.
Type the ranges and each one becomes its own PDF. When there's more than one output, they arrive bundled in a single .zip so your browser downloads once instead of a dozen times. Splitting copies pages rather than moving them, so the source file stays exactly as it was on disk while the pieces become files of their own.
The slicing happens in your browser with pdf-lib, and the zip gets built locally too. No upload, no server, no log of what you split. For a confidential document you're breaking apart before sharing it, your file never leaves your device at any step.
